Having graduated from Rutgers University with two Jazz Festivals and a record date under his belt, Josh had already established a reputation as a sax player with a great sound. His sound was turning the heads of sax players such as Branford Marsalis, Sonny Stitt, George Coleman and Kenny G, who were quoted as saying ,"you have a great tone".

Josh moved to the New York scene after returning from the Umbria Jazz Festival in Perugia, Italy. He was soon touring with Jennifer Holiday in a Broadway Musical tribute to Mahalia Jackson. It was there that John Simmons, Whitney Houston´s musical director, heard Josh play. Simmons invited him to audition for Whitney´s up coming world tour. Josh joined the band as her soloist, playing for audiences world over for the next two years. Kenny G, who was Whitney´s opening act heard Josh play and told him, "you have a beautiful sound".

Back in New York, Josh was working the studio scene doing recording sessions for jingles, television shows and film sound tracks, and playing the local club circuit.

Josh is now living in Sweden and writing a solo project. Currently he has performed in Sweden with Papa Dee, Jan Tolf, Louise Hoffsten, Mats Ronander, Victoria Tolstoy, Tommy Nilsson, Mary Wilson, Sharon Dyall and Björn J:son Lindh. He recently recorded with Lutricia McNeal on her Swedish dance chart topper "Washington"
